Making their way to Clearwater for their Capitol Theatre debut, The Magpie Salute is an exciting new band that brings Rich Robinson, the guitarist and co-founding member of The Black Crowes, together with key members of Crowes fame – guitarist Marc Ford and bassist Sven Pipien – alongside drummer Joe Magistro, guitarist Nico Bereciartua, and keyboardist Matt Slocum. The band also boasts a fine cast of vocalists, including lead singer John Hogg (Hookah Brown, Moke), former Crowes singer Charity White and background singers, Adrien Reju and Katrine Ottosen. Together they conjure magic on their full-length debut of original material, High Water I, with the first single Send Me An Omen. For as much as the group represents a musical union of swaggering rock ‘n’ roll, psychedelic blues, and campfire-worthy storytelling, it also marks a reunion of musicians whose paths twisted and turned right back to each other.
