Contemporary jazz icons Spyro Gyra return to Clearwater for their Capitol Theatre debut! These jazz fusion giants brilliantly blend soul, Latin, pop and world beat influences to become one of most famous instrumental ensembles of all time. They were in Clearwater last when the headlined Blast Friday in January of 2017. They hit the pop charts with their number one Morning Dance, have gone on to sell more than eleven million records and have racked up nine GRAMMY® nominations in their forty plus years. Still featuring founder and saxophonist Jay Beckenstein, Spyro Gyra’s innovative and eclectic sensibility makes them a dynamic live act. Radio hits like Shaker Song, Catching the Sun, It Doesn’t Matter, A Winter Tale, Breakfast at Igor’s and Unwritten Letter keep them an audience favorite.
