Robert Klein returns to the Capitol Theatre after his hilarious debut in 2016. For more than forty years, Robert Klein has entertained audiences, and he continues to have an acclaimed career in comedy, on Broadway, on television, and in film.The “Bronx Born” Klein started with the famed Second City theatrical troupe, was GRAMMY® nominated twice for for his albums Child of the Fiftiesand Mind Over Matter; received a Tony nod and won a L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in the Neil Simon musical They’re Playing Our Song plus won awards for his role in The Sisters Rosensweig.
Klein was the first comedian to appear in an HBO live concert in 1975 and has done nine more since. In addition to starring in several TV roles (Law and Order and The Good Wife), Robert has made over 100 appearances on The Tonight Show and Letterman plus hosted SNL (he was in the first Cheeseburger sketch with Belushi and Akroyd!). Klein also wrote his affectionate coming of age memoir The Amorous Busboy of Decatur Avenue.
