GRAMMY® Award winning bluegrass powerhouse The Earls of Leicester (pronounced “Lester”) featuring legendary dobro player Jerry Douglas make their way to Clearwater for the first time for their Capitol Theatre debut! The band assembled by Jerry Douglas, 14-time GRAMMY® Award winning dobro player and longtime member of Alison Krauss & Union Station, presents the music of Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs and their band the Foggy Mountain Boys. The band released its eponymous debut in 2014 to immediate acclaim including the 2015 GRAMMY® for Bluegrass Album of the Year and sweeping wins at the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards. It became overwhelmingly clear that contemporary listeners couldn’t get enough of the Earls’ recreations of songs sown by the duo more than half a century ago. With their second album Rattle & Roar, the Earls have conjured up a fresh batch of Flatt and Scruggs songs, delivered with the Earls’ now signature blend of homage, virtuosity and perspective.

Early James and the Latest will open the show.

Tickets are $45 & $35. Performance is at the Capitol Theatre, 405 Clevleand St, Downtown Clearwater.

New this season! The Capitol Theatre has joined with the renowned Clear Sky on Cleveland to offer a delicious premium dining and entertainment experience for $125 (Menu A) or $115 (Menu B). View Package Options
