Our Story
Dan Shouvlin
Dan Shouvlin was raised in Springfield, Ohio. After attending The University of Notre Dame, his first job was at TGI Friday’s. From there he moved on other rapidly expanding restaurant companies; Chi Chi’s, Olive Garden, to name a couple. He was transferred to Pinellas County in the mid ’80s. Once here he acquired ownership in several restaurants. Over 6 years ago he joined Michael “Frenchy” Preston to open the financially and critically successful Clear Sky Cafe on Clearwater Beach.
Dan’s expertise and his track-record in the restaurant industry made him a valuable asset that Preston couldn’t resist. Dan was named, CEO of Preston’s 35-year-old restaurant dynasty. They have just opened two new restaurants in Dunedin: “Frenchy’s Outpost” on Dunedin causeway and “Clear Sky Draught Haus” on Main St. Both restaurants have done well since opening. He has opened a new restaurant in downtown Clearwater Cleveland Street District, across from The Capitol Theater called Clear Sky on Cleveland “Global Bistro” July of 2017. This brings a culinary experience with a world class menu and unique decor to downtown.
Dan serves as a board member on local charitable and civic organizations. He is happy to call this area home and firmly believes that it is important to invest time and money, depending on each individuals’ resources, to make this area an even better place to live.
